The Agricultural Development Bank Tanzania (TADB) has joined the Ministry of Finance, along with banks and other financial institutions, in commemorating the 2024 National Financial Services Week. At the Ruanda-Nzonvwe grounds in Mbeya from October 21st to 26th, 2024.
The theme for this celebration is “Elimu ya Fedha: Msingi wa Maendeleo ya Kiuchumi” which aims to enhance public understanding of the importance of utilizing formal financial services to improve economic status and livelihoods. This initiative ultimately contributes to poverty alleviation in the country.
As a key player in development and the economy, TADB has used the National Financial Services Week to raise awareness about; The importance of using formal financial services, Proper money management, The benefits of saving and How to create and manage a budget to Mbeya region resident and the surrounding regions who visited the Rwanda-Nzovwe ground during the Financial Service Week.
Additionally, TADB has provided information on its role in promoting agricultural transformation in Tanzania, moving from subsistence farming to commercial agriculture through accessible and affordable loans within Agri-sector value chains, including livestock and fisheries.
