TADB Promotes Agri-Business to 500 Women in Ubungo District, Dar es Salaam

Tanzania Agricultural Development Bank (TADB) participated in a women’s seminar organized by EFM as part of their 2025 Women’s Empowerment Campaign, known as Mwanamke wa Shoka. The event took place at Noble Hall, Kimara Mwisho, Dar es Salaam, on 26th March 2025.

#Mwanamkewashoka was more than just a seminar; it was a celebration of progress and a platform for exchange aimed at bringing together women from Ubungo District to inspire one another, network and explore growth opportunities.

About 500 women, embodying the spirit and resilience of their community, came together to share their stories, dreams, and ambitions. They were inspired by various key speakers, including Hon. Lazaro Twange, the Ubungo District Commissioner and his delegates.

TADB was represented by Ms. Angelina Nyansambo a Business Development Officer, who discussed various opportunities available at the bank, particularly agricultural transformation from subsistence to commercial farming, including livestock and fisheries, through access to capital and affordable loans.

She covered several key topics, including:

✅ An introduction to TADB’s products and services, along with guidelines on how to access them.
✅ Insights into commercial farming practices.
✅ Financial management, with a focus on loan management.
✅ TADB’s collaboration with commercial banks and other financial institutions to accelerate agricultural transformation in the country through the Smallholder Credit Guarantee Scheme (SCGS).

Additionally, Ms. Nyansambo encouraged attendees to visit TADB offices to gain a deeper understanding of the bank’s offerings.
