TADB has kicked off 2025 with training on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards, provided by GBRW and ADC Tanzania

This initiative aims to sharpen the employees’ skills in these critical areas, as TADB is committed to complying with national and international ESG policy standards, agreements and treatment.

TADB has initiated this training for its first cohort, participants included employees from the Risk and Compliance, Credit and Appraisal, Business Development, Auditing, Research and Advisory, Legal, Gender and Nutrition departments.

During the training, Mr. Kasimu Bwijo, Head of Risk and Compliance at TADB, emphasized on TADB dedication to adhering to both national and international ESG standards, He noted that, as the world faces environmental and social challenges like climate change and social inequality ESG considerations has become clear to the bank’s day to day operation.

Mr. Bwijo added that for TADB, ESG plays a fundamental role in risk mitigation, enhancing reputation, ensuring regulatory compliance, promoting climate-smart agricultural practices, improving decision-making, driving innovation, and increasing access to capital, all while contributing to a more just and equitable society.
