The President of the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar, Hon. Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, visited the booth while officially opening the seventh Zanzibar Agricultural Show (Nane Nane) on August 3, 2024, at Dole Kizimbani – Unguja.
At the TADB booth, HE. Dr. Mwinyi was received by the TADB Acting Zonal Manager for Zanzibar, Mr. Michael Madundo and briefed on the bank mandates of transforming agriculture in the country from subsistence to commercial as well as the progress of the bank in Zanzibar including the issuance of loans, the number of beneficiaries of bank loans and:
✅ Efforts made by the bank in providing financial and agribusiness education and awareness in Zanzibar
✅ Progress of the Tanzania Inclusive Processor-Producer Partnership project (TI3P)
✅ Progress of the Smallholder Credit Guarantee Schemes (SCGS)
🟢 President Mwinyi also had the opportunity to see the work of TADB beneficiaries, including Bin Mwewe Company (Horticulture sector), Shemsa Taraba, and MPF Company, (poultry sector).
